The Meeting of Interior Ministers within the framework of the Berlin Process will be held on 16 September 2026, at Villa Gorica, bringing together Ministers of Interior and senior officials from the Western Balkan countries, as well as partner countries.
As an important platform for strengthening regional cooperation and further supporting the integration of the Western Balkan countries into the European Union, the meeting will focus on enhancing resilience to organised crime, as well as strengthening capacities and partnerships in the areas of border management and combating irregular migration.
The opening session will be addressed by Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of the Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany Bernd Krosser, and Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) Olivier Onidi.
Media representatives are invited to cover the opening session of the meeting on Wednesday, 16 September, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Villa Gorica. Photography and video recording will be permitted during the opening session.
