The Western Balkans Digital Summit 2026 has successfully concluded in Herceg Novi, marking a milestone in building digital bridges toward a safer, more resilient, and modern future for all citizens.

Held under the auspices of the Government of Montenegro, the Summit was organized by the Ministry of Public Administration in partnership with the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC). This prestigious event took place at the exclusive One&Only Portonovi resort in Herceg Novi from October 12 to 14, 2026, within the framework of the Montenegrin presidency of the Berlin Process.

The event brought together ministers and high-ranking government officials from the Western Balkans economies (WB6), representatives of the European Commission, leaders from the business and academic communities, civil society organizations, and technology experts.

The comprehensive agenda addressed five core pillars of digital development through a series of specialized panel discussions. The Summit was officially opened by the Minister of Public Administration, Mr. Marash Dukaj, who presented Montenegro’s impressive achievements within a relatively short timeframe across the fields of digitalization, cybersecurity, innovation, and artificial intelligence.
